Use the table of contents or the site's search engine to find information on specific diseases and medical conditions. This extensive and non-profit site is run entirely by volunteers and based in Mecklenburg County. It assists people in North Carolina and throughout the country in finding and forming support groups for a wide range of health-related issues and conditions. The site also provides easy access to basic medical information on numerous diseases and disorders. Included in the site is a Cancer Resource Guide, medical dictionaries, medical journals on-line,and a wide variety of medical sites hand-picked by SupportWorks staff, all to benefit and empower the consumer.
